Abstract

The article provides different scientific insights into the concept of social skills, the process of socialization and the role of a social worker in the process of hospitalization: individual, group and community activities during the adaptation period. The article analyzes the benefits of social worker interventions that can make the adaptation period in nursing homes easier and more meaningful for the elderly. A qualitative research method was applied – interviews with hospitalization patients.
