Abstract

The article analyse concepts of quality, of higher education quality, quality assurance conditions and areas. The theoretical sources lack a unified methodology for assurance the quality of higher education, the authors choose different evaluation criteria and indicators. In the analysis of the content of the documents, the quality assurance provisions of European higher education and their implementation, the assessment of the quality of Lithuanian higher education, the organization of the quality assurance of science and studies at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Šiauliai State Higher Education Institution have been studied.
