Abstract

The article presents the design of a passenger car maintenance station on the Šiauliai–Joniškis road. Market analysis (traffic of 5017 vehicles/day, fleet growth, limited competition) confirmed demand and justified a 3.46 ha plot. A service profile (fluid/filter replacement, tyre fitting, wheel alignment, A/C diagnostics) yielded 11553 man-hours/year, five posts and seven technicians. A 467.25 m² building, equipment, ventilation, heat-pump heating and a 60 kWp PV plant were designed. An oil-filter removal tool was verified (93.04 MPa bending stress, safety factor 3.82, 810 N friction force exceeding the required 783 N tangential force). Total investment is EUR 667.19 thousand; payback ranges from 4.7 years at full capacity to 26.1 years at 85% utilisation.
